Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or building operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or related systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs in a healthcare environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred, with the ability to travel between facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hospital building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders to ensure safe, continuous facility operations.
  • Support repairs, troubleshooting, and general upkeep of equipment and facility systems.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, including renovations, installations, and minor construction work.
  • Participate in fire and life safety inspections, drills, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and completed work orders.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership and other departments to maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational healthcare environment.
