Maintenance Worker (Full Time)
About The Position
The Maintenance Worker performs property maintenance and landscaping, light carpentry, and tasks such as welding, cutting, plumbing, painting, and overhead door repair. The role includes inspecting and maintaining the Service Center building, general cleaning, troubleshooting and correcting problems, and repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems. The employee also performs equipment safety inspections and prepares safety documentation. Regular attendance is required. Duties are not limited to this list; operational, safety, or other needs may require additional assigned work, and employees must be able to perform those duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Stable employment history.
- Ability to interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Ability to complete tasks within time constraints and comply with company safety practices, policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
- Flexible and dependable; night or weekend shifts may be required.
- Ability to lift approximately 70 pounds or more when required by essential job functions.
- Ability to interact well with others and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comply with written materials such as safety rules, operations and procedure manuals, and maintenance instructions, with strong comprehension and concentration and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing and a criminal history background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial and general maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, plumbing, painting, overhead door repair, and industrial work is helpful.
- Transportation experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
