About The Position

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the campground facilities and grounds. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1–2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to operate maintenance and groundskeeping equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary technical training or certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or electrical systems, groundskeeping or landscaping or carpentry, considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on campground facilities, including restrooms, showers, cabins, and common areas.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems as needed.
  • Empty and properly dispose of waste from septic tanks for campers, RVs, and trailers, ensuring safe and sanitary handling in compliance with campground procedures.
  • Perform regular pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning filters, skimmers, and pool surfaces to ensure a safe and clean swimming environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds and facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the campground, including trash removal, landscaping, and general cleaning.
  • Perform groundskeeping duties such as mowing, raking, trimming, and watering plants.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of events and activities held at the campground.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Lead and other team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks.
  • Assist campers with site set‑up when required, including guiding RV placement, connecting utilities, and answering basic campground or site‑related questions.
