About The Position

This part-time position involves removing trash and debris from city receptacles and public areas to ensure city right-of-ways meet cleanliness standards. The role follows established routes either on foot or by vehicle. Additionally, the position performs landscape work in public right-of-ways, which may include planting, weeding, maintaining flower beds, and pruning plant material and trees. The worker will use landscape tools and work on ladders. Work is assigned by a crew leader and inspected for quality and productivity.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
Must meet physical and environmental demands of working outdoors in all weather conditions for most of the day.
Exposure to insects, chemicals, and traffic fumes.
Danger of working in public right-of-way.
Performing demanding physical labor.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working on ladders.

Nice To Haves

Some laborer experience in Grounds Maintenance or Landscaping desired.
