The Maintenance Worker position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision. This role involves assisting in the installation of new equipment, supporting special fabrication and construction projects, and adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule. Responsibilities include machine repair and installation, such as replacing motors, rebuilding gear boxes, running threaded and weld piping, overhauling pumps, replacing packing and shaft seals, and performing welding and cutting torch operations. The role also includes daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment, diagnosing and replacing equipment parts with minimal direction, and repairing control circuits and installing VFDs. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean work area, using assigned personal protective equipment, observing all safety rules and regulations, and attending safety meetings.
