About The Position

Performs maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems. Supports daily plant operations and contributes to regulatory compliance and facility improvements. Reports daily to the Director of Plant Operations regarding facility conditions and the progress of assigned tasks. Supports the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance. Collaborates with other departments to schedule work, establish priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies. Performs maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations. Assists with facility fire and safety inspections and implements safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments. Collaborates with clinical and administrative departments for facility support Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
