About The Position
Responsible for general maintenance at Messina Hof Hill Country including the lawn, gardens, and facilities. Mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains the interior and exterior of buildings. Messina Hof Wine Cellars, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
Requirements
- Experience in general maintenance
- Ability to carry out detailed or oral instructions
- Perform frequent manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and other physical activities
Responsibilities
- Hands-on involvement in most facets of grounds operation including mowing, edging, weeding, hedging, garden work, and landscaping
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
- Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes
- Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others.
- Apply fertilizer to grounds to enhance growth
- Sweep walkways of debris
- Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger
- Assist in painting, cleaning, and other exterior upkeep
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping
- Monitor grounds and keep in pristine condition
- Assist in the general interior upkeep of facilities including repairs, cleaning, and preventative or planned maintenance
- Perform other duties as required, including assisting other departments as needed
