About The Position

The Town is seeking a Maintenance Worker for our streets department to perform unskilled and semiskilled work in a variety of public works, parks, landscape and utilities construction, maintenance and repair projects. The position is primarily street and sidewalk work and requires after-hours work in snow and ice removal. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license. A Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is preferred.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Some experience in heavy manual work
Valid driver's license
CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement required at time of hire or within six months of employment
Required within six months of employment: Flagging Certification
Pavement Marking Certification
Work Zone Certification
First Aid & CPR

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of unskilled and semiskilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance and repair of public facilities, buildings, grounds, streets, utilities, and related facilities.
Spreads asphalt and patches street surface; assist with concrete work.
Assist with snow and ice removal.
Assist other crews when needed.
Clean up debris from streets and sidewalks.
Available After hours
Perform related tasks as required.
