About The Position

Join Our Roads & Stormwater Division as a Maintenance Worker! Are you looking for an opportunity to make a direct impact in your community? Our Roads & Stormwater Division is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our Public Works team. Individuals in this position provide semi-skilled and skilled labor in support of the Public Works Department, helping maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our roads and stormwater systems. Requirements

High School graduation or GED equivalent is preferred.
Maintenance of a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 150 days of employment which meets requirements outlined in the city's personal rules and regulation manual with an acceptable driving history.

Forklift Operator
FEMA 100, 200, 700, 800
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
