Under general supervision of the Assistant City Manager, may issue citations for parking violations and collects monies for daily/monthly parking, performs entry level, semi-skilled labor in area of assignment. General: Maintains City parking garages, facilities, grounds, and centers in relation to area of assignment. Performs all types of general laborer duties including but not limited to shoveling, lifting, painting, groundskeeping, etc. to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and reputation of the City. Learns more skilled tasks through on-the-job training. Performs other duties as assigned. Open and/or closing garage, collecting money and tickets - making change if needed, selling monthly tags, using debit/credit card machine, complete paperwork for daily tickets and monthly parkers, putting holds on vehicles at the end of shift, walking through garage and stairwells several times a day, be able to work events in different weather conditions.
