About The Position

Leon Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Worker Lead to oversee daily facilities operations, ensure safety and compliance, and guide a team of Maintenance Workers toward excellence. This role is for an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and expertise in YARDI Facilities Manager, who thrives in fast-paced environments where technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities are crucial.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proficiency with YARDI Facilities Manager or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Technical certification or associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep.
  • Use YARDI Facilities Manager to manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and generate reports.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
  • Lead, train, and support a team of Maintenance Workers.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety standards and best practices.
  • Assist with budget planning and cost-control strategies.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and special projects.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service at all times.
