About The Position

This is a full-time, year-round position with a wage of $21.43 per hour. During the winter, the role primarily involves snow removal using mid-size equipment. In the summer, the focus shifts to landscape projects, including tree planting, garden construction, interlock, stonework, sodding, prepping, mulching, and planting. The position also includes day-to-day tasks such as garden bed maintenance, responding to emergency calls, resort grounds cleaning, and detail work. The role requires utilizing various hand-held landscaping construction tools, maintaining a keen eye for detail, and adhering to standard landscaping construction techniques. There may be opportunities to assist the special projects team with other resort projects. The role operates within set safety policies and guidelines, requiring a professional and polite demeanor. Winter duties include snow removal through shoveling and the use of small equipment to clear pathways, doorways, and roads. Assistance with resort detailing may also be required.

Requirements

  • 2 years previous landscaping/grounds experience required
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s License
  • Must be physically fit; able to lifts and carry heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, waling and kneeling

Nice To Haves

  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • Experience operating and completing basic maintenance on machines an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Supervisor to complete projects from start to finish, which includes jobs involving but not limited to - tree planting, garden construction, interlock, stonework, sodding and prepping, mulching, and planting.
  • Completes other day to day tasks as required – garden bed maintenance, emergency calls, resort grounds cleaning, detail work.
  • Utilizing various hand-held landscaping construction tools.
  • Has a keen eye for details and finished product, while following standard landscaping construction techniques.
  • From time to time, working with the special projects team to help complete other projects around resort.
  • Works within set safety policies and guidelines, in a professional polite manner.
  • Complete snow removal through the winter months, which includes shoveling, and use of small equipment to remove snow and keep pathways, doorways, and roads clear.
  • Will assist in resort detailing at times as required.
