About The Position

The Maintenance Worker II – General is a position in the Facilities Management department. The position focuses on general maintenance and the caregiver may be assigned to work in a variety of areas of focus. The level II role demonstrates competency in a broad area of general maintenance. Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-330pm with on-call rotating shifts every 3rd week starting October - May for snow removal FullTime Benefits Eligible

Requirements

  • Experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman is required.
  • Demonstrated abilities of the skills listed above
  • Willingness to work hard and to learn.
  • Some experience working in a healthcare setting
  • A valid drivers license may be required for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors.
  • Assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests and provides immediate assistance to resolve the issue.
  • Works independently or under the supervision of a facilities management leader.
