About The Position

Under the direction of the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer, this role is responsible for the maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems at the Pacific Centre, addressing all related maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum grade 12 education.
• Must have working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
• Maintain safe working practices and demonstrate them to co-workers and contractors.

Nice To Haves

• BOMA Diploma as a Systems Maintenance Technician
• 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks outlined by work orders from the Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance Program or responds to service requests in a professional, workmanlike, and timely manner.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in a timely manner in conjunction with work orders assigned by the Service Centre and Central Management.
• Reports all equipment deficiencies to the Service Center or Centre Management. In the event equipment is considered essential, will affect or direct immediate repairs as required.
• Participates in all training activities planned by Centre Management and assists as required in the set-up of each session.
• Takes appropriate upgrade courses to remain current on all new equipment and to keep abreast of changes in technology relating to Pacific Centre.
• Assists maintenance personnel in the safe and proper operation of equipment as required or as directed by Centre Management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Centre Management.
