Maintenance Worker HVAC - Full Time
About The Position
La Posada is looking for a full-time Maintenance Worker HVAC. This role is responsible for responding to resident requests for HVAC malfunctions, repairing all HVAC problems in a timely manner, checking freon levels, repairing leaks, charging to appropriate levels, inspecting condenser units for proper operation, repairing and replacing parts as necessary, cleaning units, inspecting evaporator units, handling emergencies, performing other maintenance duties as assigned, renovating and maintaining all apartment and common area HVAC equipment, maintaining required records including EPA regulated information, keeping work areas, carts, tools and equipment orderly, clean and safe, working safely, participating in training programs, and attending mandatory meetings. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, safety awareness, and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and construction techniques, as well as record keeping principles and customer service principles.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 years of related experience and possess basic mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use basic tools or other applicable experience as deemed appropriate by Human Resources.
- Must have or be able to obtain upon hire a current Arizona Driving License
- Must have or be able to obtain upon hire a CPR/AED, First Aid Certification

Responsibilities
- Responds to resident request for HVAC malfunctions.
- Repairs all HVAC problems in a timely manner.
- Checks freon levels, repair leaks and charge to appropriate levels.
- Inspects condenser units for all electrical controls, fans, and compressors for proper operation. Repair and replace as necessary. Clean units when necessary.
- Inspects evaporator units for proper operation, all parts functioning properly.
- Handles emergencies immediately and appropriately.
- Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Director.
- Renovates and maintains all apartment and common area HVAC equipment.
- Maintains all required records and information pertinent to work assignments, including EPA regulated information.
- Keeps work areas, carts, tools and equipment orderly, clean and safe.
- Works safely and participates in all training programs, as assigned.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
