About The Position

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for assisting with and performing tasks for the purpose of preventive maintenance of all components within our PA facilities. This will include keeping machines full of coolant and at a good percent to save on tooling and inserts. This role will support our facilities during our night shift operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Rational train of thought
  • Excellent skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and work from scaled drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate mechanical/electrical diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Knowledgeable in regard to the safety policies and procedures of the Company as described in the Company safety manual.
  • Adhere to all said policies and procedures while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization and recognize the Company’s need to achieve its business objective.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain coolant levels and mix to set standards
  • Understands job functions and can problem solve as needed; completes job efficiently and effectively
  • Works with team members in a positive manner and shares knowledge
  • Maintains safe operations through 5S and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and work from scaled drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
  • Maintain coolant and oil as needed
  • Clean out coolant pan and screens as needed
  • Maintain barfeeder screens and oil
  • Assist in various types of preventative maintenance
  • General cleanup of shop areas
  • Introductory machining troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate mechanical/electrical diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Observe and practice all safety rules and requirements pertaining to hazardous chemicals, asbestos containing materials (ACM), and environmental hazards.
  • Comply with directions and instructions from supervisor and perform other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned.
  • Comply with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
