About The Position

Repair production equipment and built tooling fixtures per drawings. This is a Full Time, Non-Exempt position in the Maintenance: Tool and Die Department, reporting to the Department Supervisor/Lead. The role involves repairing broken welds on equipment, welding pipe leaks, and fitting up and welding assemblies according to engineered drawings and specifications using TIG and/or MIG welding processes. Maintenance welding processes are performed as required using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding. The position also requires general housekeeping, basic mathematics, and the ability to read and write English for paperwork related to measuring, quality, scheduling, routing, and monitoring. The role requires the use of various measurement equipment and the ability to interpret blueprints. Any other job-related tasks assigned may also be performed.

Requirements

• Must have AWS Cert with 1G, 3G and 4G un GMAW and SMAW or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must pass an in-house welding exam and skills demonstration.
• Must be able to use the following machines, tools, equipment and/or work aids: Forklifts, cranes, hand tools, automated and manually operated machines.

Responsibilities

• Repair broken welds on equipment as needed.
• Weld all pipe leaks as needed.
• Fit up and weld assemblies per engineered drawing and specification using TIG and/or MIG welding process.
• Performs maintenance welding processes as required using MIG, TIG and/or stick welding process.
• Housekeeping.
• Basic mathematics and read/write English for general and detailed paperwork.
• Must be able to work with/use various measurement equipment.
• Must be able to interpret blue prints.
• Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned.
