About The Position

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team to ensure that production processes run smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety measures are adhered to. This role involves completing AAON’s Production Leader Program, leading a team of workers by assigning tasks and providing guidance, and motivating and mentoring team members to maximize productivity and quality. The position requires collaboration with the management team to ensure production targets are met, allocating resources, and monitoring and enforcing quality control processes. The lead will also investigate and address production and quality related issues, ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed, conduct safety training and audits, and identify opportunities for process optimization and improved efficiency. Implementation of changes and oversight of process improvements to enhance productivity, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and coordinating with inventory control teams are also key responsibilities. The role includes generating regular reports on performance and providing updates to management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and production management software and systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinates with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Generates regular reports on performance, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.
  • Provides regular updates to management on production status and challenges.
