About The Position

Weyerhaeuser’s Western Timberlands Trucking operations in Longview, WA has a Maintenance Utility opening. This is a full-time hourly position, with the shift schedule being 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Mon. – Thurs.) and 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Fri.). Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits, in accordance with the Labor Agreement, include Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation, Holidays and 401(k). The rate of pay starts at $28.525 per hour, with a shift differential of $1.00 per hour for working swing shift.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to drive a fuel truck and operate fuel pumps as needed
Safety-conscious, taking the personal initiative to work safely, contributing to the safety of the team members, and maintaining a safe work environment
General mechanical aptitude
Ability and willingness to work on varying shifts
Valid driver's license
Successfully complete a post-offer physical exam, drug screen and background check

Experience performing preventative maintenance tasks preferred

Responsibilities

Change fluids and grease as appropriate
Perform routine maintenance inspections
Track service and maintenance records
Inventory and track supplies, including filters, lubricants, and monitor bulk oil tank levels
Inventory and maintain oil and grease dispensing tools
Conduct/assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
Process, receive and track bulk fuel shipments and dispensing
Refuel trucks and equipment including DEF as needed
Provide operator basic care for equipment and bulk dispensing systems
Perform miscellaneous jobs in and around the truck shop to include but not limited to clean up and basic preventative maintenance activities (ex: greasing, dismounting tires and wheel assemblies, truck and trailer inspections, oil change, and brake adjustments, etc.)
