About The Position

Schumann Printers, Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Trainee to join our second-shift team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and a strong willingness to learn. You will work alongside experienced maintenance professionals who will provide hands-on training and guidance, starting with basic maintenance tasks and gradually developing the skills needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment. Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common hand and power tools.
An interest in learning how industrial equipment operates.
Dependable, reliable, and willing to learn.
Good attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and contribute to a team.
Availability to work second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, with overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience with basic mechanical repairs or general maintenance.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Vocational or technical training in mechanics, maintenance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
Assist with equipment repairs and replacement of mechanical components.
Inspect, lubricate, and maintain industrial machinery.
Use a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance work.
Assist with equipment installations and maintenance projects.
Perform general building and facility maintenance.
Document maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
Follow industrial maintenance safety procedures, including lockout/tagout as trained and authorized.
