About The Position

The Maintenance Trainee learns and provides maintenance support to help maintain the overall physical condition of the community and deliver responsive service to residents. The role supports general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utility, and lighting systems, including inspections and repairs. It also helps ensure resident service requests and other community maintenance are completed in a timely manner, while following company safety and environmental policies and procedures. The position involves a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage and frequent interaction with residents, maintenance staff, and community staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of basic tools and general maintenance processes.
Basic troubleshooting skills.
Valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Learn and provide support for general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utility, and lighting systems.
Perform inspections and repairs.
Follow company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Provide responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions to support resident satisfaction.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
Help complete resident service requests and other community maintenance in a timely manner.
