About The Position

The Maintenance Tradesperson Sr repairs and maintains production machinery and equipment in a safe manner. May assist Maintenance Planning Coordinator or Team Lead in the supervising and coordination of activities of maintenance employees. Applies electrical, mechanical and electronic theories and skills to test, modify, maintain and repair equipment and processes as needed. Leads others in safety and participates in core hourly meetings.

Requirements

  • Must also be proficient in troubleshooting and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years maintenance experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical on presses preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of NEC and strong electrical knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electronics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working safely and overseeing safety when working on equipment.
  • Records repairs and maintenance performed using the CMMS system, responsible for closing out work orders.
  • Will enter work orders and downtime information into maintenance database.
  • Writes and corrects the inputs and outputs of PLC (programmable logic controller) programs using Allen Bradley –Rockwell software.
  • Troubleshoots problems with machinery to determine nature of problem, such as computer, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, mechanical problems or set up of the equipment using schematics.
  • Confers with technical support groups to solve computer-related and hydraulic-related problems.
  • May lead and participate in safety teams, TPM, Kaizen and 5S events.
  • May lead efforts in PM Optimization process.
  • Enters codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
  • Assembles electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Assures machine controls are current with available spare parts received in the supply area to prevent obsolete parts being used.
  • Will maintain and troubleshoot 480 VAC systems.
  • Must understand and be able to troubleshoot and repair both hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machinery.
  • Will troubleshoot AC/DC drive systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
