Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards, documenting through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems such as plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC, and electrical systems. Manages response and repairs associated with emergencies like leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, and equipment failures. Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings, and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments. This role requires working within clearly defined standard operating procedures, possessing basic computer skills in systems such as CMMS, building automation system, and Microsoft Office. It demands good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with minimal oversight and basic technical skills in facility maintenance. The position requires travel and participation in on-call duty for 24/7 coverage, including rotating holiday coverage.
