Maintenance-Trades Helper
About The Position
JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a Maintenance-Trades Helper. The Maintenance-Trades Helper assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning the work area, machine, and equipment; assisting a journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by the journeyman. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. May perform specialized operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers. Perform other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- High school or GED diploma
- 1-3 years of experience
- OSHA-10 certification
- EPA universal certification
Responsibilities
- Keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools
- Cleaning the work area, machine, and equipment
- Assisting a journeyman by holding materials or tools
- Performing other unskilled tasks as directed by the journeyman
- Performing specialized operations, or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers
- Perform other related duties as directed
- Maintain personnel certification, training, and licensing records
- Keep certification, training, and licensing records current and on file for the duration of the contract
