About The Position

PCSI is looking for a Maintenance Trades Helper at FT. SILL, OK. A Maintenance Trades Helper will do minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, and roof systems. Preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs, including changing filters, cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, and changing fluorescent and other bulbs. This position will report to the PMO Supervisor and is based at FT. Sill, OK. Typical work hours will be 0730-1600 Monday through Friday. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have the ability to perform the assigned duties.
  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Must have the ability to successfully complete all applicable training modules assigned.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior facility maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (prior government contractor experience preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, and roof systems.
  • Cleaning and maintaining of mechanical rooms.
  • Preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs, including changing filters, cleaning cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, and changing fluorescent and other light bulbs.
  • Manufacture, repair, and installation of screens and glass.
  • Sign maintenance to include inspections, replacement (setting/affixing), and painting.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
  • Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
  • Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
  • Painting structures and equipment
  • Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalk
  • Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles
  • Hanging doors and installing door locks
  • Replacing broken windowpanes
  • Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Other duties as assigned.
