About The Position

ATI is seeking a Maintenance Trades Helper to assist skilled maintenance trades, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, and occasionally support custodial and grounds maintenance. The role includes supplying workers with materials and tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, performing routine operations and maintenance and inspections, and carrying out other tasks as directed. Occasional custodial tasks include cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, elevators, kitchenettes, locker rooms, and a fitness center. Grounds duties may include lawn care, debris removal, fertilization and weed control, planting bed maintenance, watering and irrigation, snow removal, and de-icing. The role also requires collaboration with team members to provide high-quality customer service during maintenance operations.

This is a full-time position in Arlington, Virginia, with normal Monday-to-Friday work hours and an anticipated 40-hour workweek. The stated pay rate is $27.43–$32.52 per hour, depending on experience and benefits selected.

Requirements

• Be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance.
• Be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment.
• Have a minimum of two years of experience working in the maintenance field.
• Have excellent customer service skills.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe working culture.
• Be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled maintenance trades, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Keep other workers supplied with materials and tools.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Perform routine operations and maintenance and inspections.
• Perform other maintenance tasks as directed.
• On occasion, clean offices, restrooms, common areas, elevators, kitchenettes, locker rooms, and a fitness center, including sanitizing, dusting, mopping, glass cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Empty trash cans, recycling bins, and cigarette receptacles.
• Assist as needed with lawn care, leaf and debris removal, fertilization and weed control, planting bed maintenance, watering and irrigation, snow removal, and de-icing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality customer service during maintenance operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
