Work within the Sheet Metal Shop, assisting in the operation of CNC machinery, deburring parts, and learning the precision sheet metal trade. Responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations of the Sheet Metal Shop. Good attitude and aptitude to learn and be willing to invest their time into the trade.

Requirements

0-2 years of related experience
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Understanding of shop math.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to operate power and hand tools.
Ability to work within a motivated small team.
Able to lift 50 pounds or more on daily basis.
Willing to invest and shows initiative and quality craftsmanship.
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Technical or Vocational Training preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assisting senior employees in operation of CNC Punch Press, Waterjet Cutting Center, and Press Brakes to fabricate sheet metal product.
Keeping other employees in department supplied with materials and tools.
Cutting of sheet and blanks for shop machinery using hydraulic shears and cutting tools.
Break-out of parts off Punch Press and Omax Waterjet.
Cleaning of work areas, machines, and equipment.
Delivery of parts to other departments and areas of facility.
