About The Position

The Maintenance Tool and Die Tech role is responsible for making, repairing, and diagnosing dies, punches, and other tooling/parts. This role involves working with a team to assess priorities and execute work to support internal customers' needs, closely collaborating with Maintenance for repairs and projects. The technician will maintain tooling, participate in Preventative Maintenance work involving dies, punches, and precision tasks, and use problem-solving skills to ensure stable machine shop operations. Responsibilities include reporting issues with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Production Supervisor, and working with support staff like Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve problems. The role requires reviewing drawings, pictures, and/or physical parts to build or make parts based on provided information, prioritizing work via CMMS work orders and direct assignments, and sustaining/driving lean manufacturing and 5S activities. The technician will handle all tasks required to support plant operations, including interpreting prints, making parts, heat treating/drawing back material, and using precision tools.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) years of experience in tool and die shop operations required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Making, repairing, and diagnosing dies, punches, and other tooling/parts.
