Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service, on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. They design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products. Their system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back, with over 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown. The company seeks practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth, motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and scaling the future of logistics. The role involves working with Zipline's latest prototype avionics, powertrain, and mechanisms, collaborating with engineers on design iterations, and supporting field operations to maintain flight vehicles. The technician will be responsible for running various tests, from quick semi-automated vehicle check-outs to long reliability and endurance campaigns, with clearly documented results. Additionally, the role includes building large jigs and structures to support full system vehicle testing and development, such as wind cannons, tether mounts, and safety barriers.
