About The Position

ZOLL Medical Corporation is seeking a smart, motivated individual to join their Acute Care Technology team as a Software Test Engineering Contractor. This role involves developing, documenting, executing, and maintaining software verification procedures, software testing tools, and associated tracing to support the development of ZOLL's life-saving products, all in accordance with regulatory requirements. ZOLL is committed to advancing resuscitation practices through innovative medical devices such as professional defibrillators, wearable LifeVest defibrillators, AutoPulse automatic CPR machines, and therapeutic temperature-management systems. The position is within the Communications group, which utilizes open standards, modern languages, open-source tools, and Web technologies to deliver clinical data solutions. Requirements

  • BS degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Related engineering or science discipline
  • At least 5 years of embedded software test or embedded software development experience
  • Experience with software development life cycle tools including bug tracking
  • Experience in a structured development environment with design controls
  • Experience with standard computer tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Scrum desired
  • Experience with medical device software development heavily desired

Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents, reviews, and maintains high quality software verification procedures
  • Analyzes and creates verification tests for software requirements
  • Executes verification procedures
  • Plans or assists with planning verification activities for software projects, including effort estimates
  • Participates in all aspects of the software development life cycle including maintaining test protocols and requirement tracing.
  • Performs software integration activities for integrating software to software or hardware subsystems
  • Reports own progress toward performance and schedule objectives.
  • Creates or specifies software and hardware tools and fixtures to support software testing
  • Follows ZOLL's standard operating procedures and software test engineering best practices
  • Collaborates with team members and contributes to positive environment that creates high quality solutions
