We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Terabase Energy. You will be important to the success of our innovative solar construction approach by keeping our equipment in the highest operational state. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our pre-assembly factory comprised of customized mechanical systems, motors, actuators, sensors, basic electrical and vehicular systems. The candidate will work closely with our field operations team and our design engineering team to ensure that all systems are running efficiently and effectively, serving as the first level of support for Terabase’s on-site mechanical and electrical systems. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in close collaboration with the Field Systems Engineer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment in a multidisciplinary role
  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, mechanical and electrical
  • Practical understanding and application of failure mode analysis
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices on maintenance and operations of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • The position is predominantly site-based with projects located around the continental US.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Site construction experience, maintaining typical construction equipment and tools
  • Experience working with customers and/or colleagues in an industrial or mission-critical environment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain and repair several pre-assembly factory systems, including:
  • Various custom mechanical systems
  • Various integrated motors, actuators and sensors
  • Basic electrical systems, including power and controls cabinets
  • Custom off-road vehicle platform
  • Robotic support systems, including compressors
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to ensure that all systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Correct Tier 1 issues and elevate issues to Tier 2 support engineers with discretion.
  • Work closely with the on-site field systems engineer, forming the project technical team
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and maintain other site equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with other engineers to identify root causes and technical corrective action
  • Maintain proper maintenance procedures documentation
  • Must be able to work outside for 10 hours a day (flexible schedule as may be required) and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • 80% travel required to project sites across the United States. Travel expenses and lodging will be covered by company
