About The Position

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to be part of our team at Southwood Apartments, Lynn Court Apartments and Oakleaf townhomes. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate starting at $28.00. While living on-site is not a requirement, employees who choose to do so will receive a higher rent discount. The company pays for educational costs, training, and licensing, including exam fees, for Boiler/CPO licenses, though these are not a requirement for the position but a willingness to obtain one is.

Responsibilities

Ensure resident satisfaction through the regular upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement.
Complete Maintenance Requests from residents as received on work orders.
Be a part of the on-call team for Highland Management Group Inc.
Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly and check boilers daily.
Have a working knowledge of water and gas meter shut offs, all apartment fixtures shut-off locations and sewer clean-outs.
Assure the cleanliness and good repair of vacant units.
Check pools (if applicable) and complete miscellaneous inspections & reports.
Report regularly to Property Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service.
Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the managers.
