About The Position

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tuscany Square Apartments in Dallas. We're looking for a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality work, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to providing excellent service to our residents.

Requirements

• 2+ years of maintenance experience; multifamily experience preferred
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, or general maintenance
• HVAC certification required or currently in progress
• EPA certification preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Ability to commute within 20–30 minutes of the property

Responsibilities

• Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests
• Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins
• Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Help maintain common areas and overall property appearance
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained community
• Participate in the rotational on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies
