About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works with and supports the production team to keep company-wide equipment running. This individual ensures the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing or installing factory equipment and machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics.
  • Knowledge of diagnosing PLC and VFD.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Providing full information about problems and attempts made to resolve them to the next shift and the supervisor and their appropriate documentation.
  • Follows repair procedures, operation, maintenance and inspection of machines, devices and machine installation in proper and timely manner and in accordance with company operation manuals, legal regulations and best practices.
  • Sets up, installs and repairs production, building equipment and specialty machines.
  • Checks, maintains, repairs, and replaces automation lines, high pressure steam, air/gas lines, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing.
  • Reads technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
  • Diagnoses problems, determines extent of repairs and estimates labor time.
  • Disassembles machinery/equipment, repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
  • Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs preventative maintenance duties.
  • Operates forklift and/or scissor lift to install or repair industrial equipment.
  • May weld, grind and/or sold to fabricate small parts to machines.
  • Collaborates with external services technicians.
  • Performs additional assignments per the Manager’s direction.
