About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works with and supports the production team to keep company-wide equipment running. This individual ensures the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing or installing factory equipment and machinery.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Knowledge of reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics.
Knowledge of diagnosing PLC and VFD.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

Additional education is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

Providing full information about problems and attempts made to resolve them to the next shift and the supervisor and their appropriate documentation.
Follows repair procedures, operation, maintenance and inspection of machines, devices and machine installation in proper and timely manner and in accordance with company operation manuals, legal regulations and best practices.
Sets up, installs and repairs production, building equipment and specialty machines.
Checks, maintains, repairs, and replaces automation lines, high pressure steam, air/gas lines, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing.
Reads technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
Diagnoses problems, determines extent of repairs and estimates labor time.
Disassembles machinery/equipment, repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs preventative maintenance duties.
Operates forklift and/or scissor lift to install or repair industrial equipment.
May weld, grind and/or sold to fabricate small parts to machines.
Collaborates with external services technicians.
Performs additional assignments per the Manager’s direction.
