Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavoring and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy. We are located at: 160 Terminal Ave, Clark, NJ 07066. We have immediate openings for a Maintenance Technician to support our 2nd shift, Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed. Hours are 2:30PM - 10:30PM. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our packaging equipment and production lines running safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery while supporting production needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of vocational education and hands‑on training
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable performing basic math using American and metric measurements
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Positive, professional attitude with the ability to work effectively under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair packaging machinery, equipment, and support structures
  • Perform equipment changeovers, including tooling installation and machine setup
  • Adjust machinery during operation to ensure product quality and line efficiency
  • Diagnose mechanical issues by inspecting equipment and listening for abnormal operation
  • Partner with operators and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including inspection, lubrication, and part replacement
  • Set up and operate machine tools (grinders, cutters, drills) to fabricate or repair parts
  • Use welding and cutting equipment to repair or join metal components
  • Support and train operators on proper equipment setup, operation, and care
