About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance activities to keep equipment safe, functional, and efficient. The role carries out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, learns to maintain and troubleshoot process equipment through training programs, and completes assigned work orders within the allotted time. The position is based in an operational baking environment and involves exposure to machinery and equipment hazards, hot conditions, and physical work.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, drill presses, and shop tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
• Ability to use a variety of communication methods frequently.
• Ability to use a notebook computer and standard office equipment.
• Able to sit, stand, stoop, and regularly use hand motor coordination.
• Able to move up and down building stairways in a multi-level plant to reach assignments and perform required tasks.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack or unstack items, or carry them.
• Able to stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods in a hot environment.
• Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

• Learn and demonstrate competency in maintaining and troubleshooting process equipment through training programs.
