About The Position
Morgan Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at The Ridge at Merriam Valley and The Bend, a combined 1,400-unit apartment community in Akron, OH. This role is for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values being part of a supportive team.
Requirements
- At least one year of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, drywall, and general maintenance.
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance required.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation and travel between both Akron communities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests and work orders in a timely manner while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents, including repairs, make-ready work, and quality inspections.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure building systems and equipment remain in excellent working condition.
- Maintain the appearance and safety of the community, including common areas, grounds, and amenities.
