About The Position

Real Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Kansas City Metro area. This role is ideal for someone who is good with their hands, takes pride in their work, and enjoys fixing things. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing a great resident experience by ensuring properties are well-maintained and functional. This includes work on various property elements such as pools, landscaping, exercise equipment, appliances, HVAC systems, overhead doors, and lighting. Additionally, individual apartments will require repairs, painting, and cleaning between tenants and during residency. The company emphasizes building relationships with residents and owners, focusing on creating a positive living environment and ensuring owner investments are well-cared for. Team members are expected to take pride in their work and customer service.

Requirements

Experience in maintenance and/or a trade craft (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, etc).
Valid driver's license.
Digital literacy and ability to use a smartphone.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with maintenance and/or trade work (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc) are a plus!

Responsibilities

Provide general maintenance, including light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Perform light groundskeeping.
Conduct light appliance installation and maintenance.
Handle trash and large object disposal.
Perform pool maintenance.
Manage work orders in an efficient, punctual, and respectful manner.
Take pride in appearance and interactions with residents, offering a friendly demeanor.
Identify and report other items that can be improved at properties during work order visits to enhance resident living and assist property owners.
