We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help keep our Evansville facility operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you will repair and maintain plant equipment, support equipment installations, complete building maintenance, and assist with the coordination of daily maintenance activities. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who stays focused in a fast-paced environment, responds positively to changing priorities, contributes practical solutions, and enjoys sharing technical knowledge with others.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical repair, general welding, electrical troubleshooting, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong electrical controls experience, or the ability to develop that capability within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ability to use hand tools, handheld power tools, and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with production and maintenance team members.
  • Ability to work through complex problems and develop logical, practical solutions.
  • Ability to lead by example and help train fellow team members.

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year degree in industrial technology or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.
  • Complete work-order repairs, inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using low-voltage DC and 120-, 240-, and 480-volt AC power in accordance with applicable electrical guidelines.
  • Repair or replace switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, and other control devices.
  • Troubleshoot controls to the I/O level and connect to PLC systems so third parties can inspect or troubleshoot programs.
  • Set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and other metalworking equipment.
  • Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment.
  • Support the daily maintenance schedule by helping review staffing availability, priorities, and progress against plan.
  • Recommend equipment, procedures, and long-term solutions that strengthen preventive maintenance and improve day-to-day operations.
  • Help train team members and keep the maintenance team informed about abnormal or critical situations.
  • Promote safe work practices and help ensure employees, contractors, and visitors follow applicable quality and food safety requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts and assist in the parts storeroom as needed.
