About The Position

Avery Dennison is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility uptime. In this role, you won't just apply "band-aid" fixes—you’ll use your technical skills to identify root causes, troubleshoot electrical/PLC issues, and keep production moving safely. The shift for this position is 2:45pm-11pm. The hourly rate ranges from $31.47-$41.41/hour depending on experience. Requirements

  • Experience in industrial mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting
  • Curiosity to investigate equipment failures and implement long-term solutions
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and follow safety procedures
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork, and willingness to support facility needs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years previous experience
  • Certifications in specialty areas required as applicable. Or acquire within specified timing any licenses necessary to perform the job.
  • Electrical certification/ training or 3-5 years experience.
  • PLC certification/training or 3- 5 years experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills and aptitude and logical problem solving skills necessary.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly participating work system.
  • Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.
  • Must be motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCad proficiency
  • Associate Degree or better in Manufacturing or Electrical disciplines.
  • Proficiency in using PLCs to troubleshoot and diagnose to root cause.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic components
  • Read schematics and utilize PLCs to diagnose faults on automated lines
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain equipment per OSHA standards
  • Partner with team members and engineers to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and optimize processes
  • Keep a safe work area, record maintenance logs, and support site goals
