About The Position

ResProp Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a brand-new acquisition team for three unique boutique communities acquired in July. Working alongside the Maintenance Supervisor, this role involves tackling work orders, assisting with apartment turns, and performing preventative maintenance. It's an opportunity to showcase skills, learn different building systems, and be a vital part of a new team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
  • Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must live within 30 minutes of community
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Applicants will be required to pass a background check, and reference check prior to their first day to verify their employment eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
  • Trade Licensing preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

Responsibilities

  • Driving resident satisfaction by responding to and completing work orders timely in a quality manner.
  • Driving property performance by performing any and all work that produces clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including: pools, laundry, clubhouses, parking lots, etc.
  • Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day.
  • Providing excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
  • Maintaining property value by performing preventative maintenance throughout the property.
  • Ensuring Resident satisfaction by preparing vacant apartments for move-in.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs on the property and correcting them and/or reporting them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintaining and repairing critical building and site systems.
  • Using software applications to track work and personal performance.
  • Being a part of a team handling a variety of tasks in an always developing environment.
