About The Position

Kent Quality Foods, a premier manufacturer of specialty meat products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Hudsonville facility. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving hands-on equipment and facility challenges, and wants to work for a company that invests in its people and operations. As Maintenance Technician you will use your strong electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting capabilities to ensure our equipment and facility operates properly by performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in breakdown situations. You will complete assigned work orders in accordance with procedures, schematics or manuals in a timely manner and conduct daily inspections and walk throughs as time allows.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in a production, manufacturing, industrial maintenance or similar hands-on maintenance environment.
  • Strong electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Respect and adherence for safe work practices and quality control.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • A willingness to learn from and share best practice approaches with peers within the maintenance department.
  • Ability to communicate maintenance updates to peers, other departments, management and employees.
  • A strong work ethic; able to work independently.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership for outcomes.
  • Basic math skills plus fractions, decimals, percentages, rates, and ratios.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in a refrigerated production environment, and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs., and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and equipment to perform duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment and facility systems.
  • Complete assigned work orders in accordance with procedures, schematics or manuals in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily inspections and walk throughs as time allows.
  • Troubleshoot electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
