This position reports to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for all maintenance, repair, and modifications needed to maintain the company’s equipment and support systems in the process of raw and finished goods. The role involves setting up equipment and working with production departments to ensure daily production and efficiencies are met. The mechanic is responsible for ensuring equipment runs properly on all lines and for the training, repair, removal, and installation of machines and equipment as needed by production. The company is looking for someone to join their team as a Production Maintenance Mechanic who will install, set up, and maintain production equipment, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues, operate and maintain power and hand tools safely, test and replace electrical components, read and interpret technical drawings, collaborate with peers to resolve production issues, assist with equipment upgrades and modifications, and potentially lead and train junior technicians in advanced roles. The role also requires working safely with chemicals and wearing appropriate PPE, and supporting continuous improvement by maintaining detailed records and participating in ongoing training.
