The Role The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of all facility and production equipment. This position involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

Requirements

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
Proficient with tools, testing devices, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with carpentry, plumbing, and basic HVAC systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 75 lbs.), and to stand, walk, bend, and work in various conditions.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license; must be at least 18 years old.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office 365.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree or certification in a related field.
2+ years of maintenance technician experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and schedule PM tasks per system requirements.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and basic electrical systems.
Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
Perform routine building maintenance (e.g., windows, doors, walls).
Maintain and review logs, work orders, PM records, and breakdown reports.
Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed.
Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
Suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Communicate effectively with Maintenance Manager and operations teams to minimize downtime.
Maintain inventory; order and track parts for repairs or projects.
Complete accurate documentation for all work performed.
Assist with equipment startups and basic utility system checks (boilers, cooling towers, ventilation).
Perform other duties as assigned.
