About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - Part Time to join our team located in Sioux Falls, SD. In this role, you are responsible for repairing machinery as required. You will also actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement maintenance functions.

Requirements

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Excellent problem solver with exceptional organization and communication skills.
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems with little or no supervision.
Requires minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Repair or replace defective parts and components.
Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
Collaborate with other team members to address maintenance needs.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
