About The Position

In this role, your responsibilities will include performing repairs and diagnosing issues with forklifts and various manufacturing equipment to ensure machinery is available to support production operations. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic production equipment using equipment manuals and technical documentation. You will respond to equipment service requests and accurately document actions and repairs in maintenance logs. Additionally, you will perform general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, piping systems, HVAC maintenance, drywall installation, painting, and light carpentry. You will also design and fabricate parts, safety systems, and equipment using tools such as drills, mills, grinders, lathes, and welding equipment. Completing preventive maintenance activities and maintaining preventive maintenance records within the company’s ERP system are key responsibilities. You will manage spare parts inventory, monitor minimum stock levels, and reorder materials as needed to minimize downtime. Other duties include conducting scheduled inspections, supporting special construction projects, and troubleshooting facility equipment and systems. You will also purchase tools and equipment from approved vendors to support maintenance activities, review and sign waste manifests in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, and maintain annual certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety, and in-house SWPPP programs. Maintaining DOT Hazardous Materials Handling certification as required is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Maintenance Technician certification or equivalent experience maintaining industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read micrometers and calipers and use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuitry, equipment drawings, machinery prints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and document maintenance activities.
  • Experience operating a forklift and the ability to successfully complete forklift certification requirements.
  • Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline related to maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial systems.
  • Experience supporting industrial maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Documented PLC training from an accredited institution or experience with PLC, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Licensed Electrician, Plumber, and/or HVAC/R Contractor certification.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
