About The Position

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility operations. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing and packaging machinery. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, understands industrial safety practices, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance safety practices.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to use measurements and calculations commonly required in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to take ownership of assigned work.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical degree, trade-school training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Previous experience maintaining manufacturing, production, packaging, or material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Automated production or packaging systems.
  • Molding, plastics, bottling, or other high-volume manufacturing equipment.
  • Conveyors, palletizers, motors, sensors, pumps, and related industrial machinery.
  • Computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and support manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and extend machinery life.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or other conditions that could lead to downtime.
  • Use diagnostic tools and condition-monitoring techniques to identify developing mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine the underlying cause of malfunctions.
  • Repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Make minor modifications and adjustments to improve equipment performance.
  • Respond promptly to production interruptions and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts usage, and completed maintenance activities.
  • Enter labor hours and maintenance information into the company’s computerized maintenance system.
  • Assist with general building and facility maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, technical support, and other maintenance team members.
  • Participate in company-sponsored technical training and skills-development programs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
