About The Position

Izzio Artisan Bakery, the #1 selling sourdough bread in America, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bakery, allowing the technician to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to the production of premium artisan sourdough products. The position involves maintaining complex bakery equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and adhering to strict food safety protocols.

Requirements

Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical field
Three years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipment
Equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience
Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systems
Electrical experience with industrial systems
Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery
Demonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls
Willingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needs
Strong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirements
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Lifting 50 pounds frequently. All Lifts over 50 Pounds require assisted lifting
Maintain regular, consistent attendance & punctuality
Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems
Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs on all production equipment
Perform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and established PM schedules
Monitor machinery performance to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational efficiency
Diagnose and resolve issues with 3-phase power systems and motor control circuits
Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems
Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions in a timely manner
Identify and recommend opportunities for equipment improvements and operational enhancements
Track and communicate parts inventory needs based on usage patterns to the Plant Engineer
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Collaborate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities
Strictly adhere to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety protocols
Maintain clean, organized work areas before shift completion
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safety
Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed
