About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

• Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical field
• Three years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipment
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience
• Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systems
• Electrical experience with industrial systems
• Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery
• Demonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls
• Willingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needs
• Strong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirements
• Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Highly Preferred: Electrical experience with industrial systems
• Preferred: Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems
• Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs on all production equipment
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and established PM schedules
• Monitor machinery performance to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve issues with 3-phase power systems and motor control circuits
• Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems
• Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions in a timely manner
• Identify and recommend opportunities for equipment improvements and operational enhancements
• Track and communicate parts inventory needs based on usage patterns to the Plant Engineer
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Collaborate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities
• Strictly adhere to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety protocols
• Maintain clean, organized work areas before shift completion
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of workplace safety
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians as needed
