Requirements

Ability to troubleshoot inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause.
Ability to listen for unusual sounds and feel for unusual vibration.
Ability to communicate with users regarding variation specifics.
Ability to dismantle inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, install new or repaired parts and reassemble the machinery or supporting equipment.
Ability to clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus (transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components) of machinery and supporting equipment.
Ability to repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
Ability to operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Ability to set up and operate machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill and milling machinery to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.

Responsibilities

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment and piping/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use.
Test machinery and supporting equipment after repair and prior to use.
Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause.
Listens for unusual sounds.
Feels for unusual vibration.
Communicates with users regarding variation specifics.
Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
